The event series kicked off in the Windy City with Chicago dogs courtesy of Chubby Wieners and cold drinks to wash ’em down provided by Mountain Dew, PBR, and Sailor Jerry. The party, copresented with Empty Bottle Presents, got started as soon as attendees arrived—free Burton koozies and key chains were given to the first fifty people through the door—and as the line down the block made its way into the store, attendees were treated to an explosive, jam-packed performance by hometown rockers the Orwells.
On the West Coast, LA locals De Lux played a special rooftop show at the Los Angeles Burton flagship store, copresented with Innovative Leisure. With views across Mid-City as a backdrop, and sweet sips thanks to Mountain Dew, PBR, and Sailor Jerry, the disco punks entertained the crowd with their synth and bass-heavy effervescence, DJ Jamie Strong maintained the grooves pre- and post-show, while in-store sales kept the local shoppers happy.
In the Bay Area, Painted Palms took over the backyard of Burton’s HQ on Haight Street, copresented with Popscene SF and Rabbl. The SF-based duo brought the summer weather to San Francisco through sun-drenched textures and melodies, complemented with a set by DJ Cavalier, and kept the crowd in high spirits—drinking (thanks again, Mountain Dew, PBR, and Sailor Jerry!) and, of course, dancin’ the night away.
